Breast lift, or Mastopexy, is a cosmetic treatment often chosen by women who are happy with the overall size of their breasts, but are unhappy with the loss of fullness.

This often leads us to recommend and perform a breast lift. Each case is different as each person is unique but in general it will re-shape sagging breasts, improve their contour, can raise the position of downward-pointing nipples and further increase firmness.

The breast lift procedure is similar to a breast reduction and involves making a number of incisions in the breast tightening the muscles and tendons and removal of some breast tissue. There is moderate scarring.

The procedure will take around 2 -3 hours and you will need to stay in hospital for 2-3 nights and take 2 weeks off work. You will need to avoid lifting and bending for around 2 weeks and can return to sport after about 2 months. When the recovery period is over your breasts will take a more natural appearance and sit higher than before your procedure.
